Amy was great because she didn’t just speak to us provider to patient, she spoke with us parent to parent. She also removed our son’s circumcision bandage for us, and was very empathetic to not only his pain, but also my distress as a mom seeing my son in pain. I broke down in the office and she was so caring and reassuring that it is hard to see our babies in pain. She encouraged me to breastfeed if I felt comfortable doing so, which made my son and I both feel much better. She even encouraged me to stay as long as I needed to finish feeding him after the appointment was finished. Our experience with Amy did not feel transactional like a lot of medical appointments often do. To me, it felt that Amy was caring for us in the same way she would her own child or family member. She also made sure we knew she was available to us for any questions through MyChart and responded within minutes when we did reach out. I am looking forward to our next appointment with Amy, and I would 100% recommend her to any new parents!
