About
Dr. Mejias received his undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. There he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his surgical training at the Medical College of Georgia. He has been in practice in Athens, Georgia, since 1999.
Dr. Mejias is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His areas of interest include: minimally invasive general surgery, breast disease, thyroid disease and GI surgery.
